• Contract Changes
Access Slides shared by IC. IC feedback to the PPG relevant points of discussion from the recent PCN wide patient participation group meeting.
Requirement: patients should be offered an assessment of need, or signposted to an appropriate service, at first contact with the practice. Practices will therefore no longer be able to request that patients contact the practice at a later time.
Requirement: improving patient experience of contacting their practice and receiving a response with an assessment and/or be seen within the appropriate period (for example same day or
within 2 weeks where appropriate, depending on urgency).
Discussed practice currently works in the above ways and will continue to monitor demand and capacity.
- Online Access:
Requirement: To make it easier for patients to access their health information online without having to contact their practice, the GP contract will be updated so new health information is available to all patients
All patients curenlty are able to utilise the NHS App, practice should promote online methods going forwards to increase uptake.
Requirement: Cloud based telephone system, Practice has this in place
Requirement: Workforce Wellbeing, Practice is currently working towards Bronze Award for Better Health at Work, and has a Health Advocate in place.
Patient Engagement:
• Increase PPG numbers. IC to prepare some information for both the waiting room board and social media.
• Practice Logo: continue to investigate - negative feedback received to the practice regarding current logo. PPG open to new logo, hope to see one that reflects the history of the building ie forge.
